Seem to recall him also saying that one of the reasons he made Schindler's List was that he felt the depiction of the Nazis in Raiders and Last Cruade had been 'too cartoonish'. TOD, along with Gremlins that came out that same year, were the responsibles for the invention of the PG-13 rating after parents complained that those movies were too violent for their young kids. These days, pretty much every action/adventure blockbuster is PG-13, while the PG rating is reserved mainly for animations and explicitly kids movies (like those Disney remake flicks). Even movies that used to be PG are now PG13, like Star Wars.

Bilbo 3,709
I saw Midway and I loved it. The screenplay is weak, the dialogue cliched, and the characters are a bit 2 dimensional but god damn the action sequences are awesome. It’s more a docudrama than a compelling character based narrative but I found it very enjoyable as a history and plane nut.
