Typical. I only got the old expanded edition recently. Happy to have tempted fate on this occasion. It’s no JB Bond score but still a pretty decent listen and the song is one of the best.

One of my fave non-JB Bond scores, so I'm all in. This and expanded Octopussy!

Hopefully this means the other Roger Moore Bond scores will see the light of day as expanded editions too. [Looks very meaningfully at Moonraker.]

Hard disagree. Like ‘em both though.

Well this is an awesome Christmas surprise.

I’ve heard bits of this one in the past and enjoyed it so this was an easy quick order.

Quite the surprise.

I think I'll seek out the earlier expansion and hold thumbs for the rest of the Moore scores to follow (and Licence to Kill).

It seems the first printing run has sold out

Well, order is now "Awaiting Shipment" so they are likely working through them.

It's also "Temporarily Out Of Stock" on the website.

Can the OP change the thread title so it isn't in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS? Thanks

Am I correct that, on the OST program, tracks 3 4 5 7 9 11 13 and 14 must be kept because they are not repeated in the film program?

Or to put it another way, are there any tracks on the OST that aren’t on the full score programme?

A fantastic sounding release of a great fin score! I love the art direction, a tasteful reimagining/homage to the early 70s era, the credits pages especially.

I did change a handful of things around in the score - I moved San Monique in front of Baron Samedi, moved San Monique (Early) after Baron as "Bond Meets Rosie". I also reimagined Boat Chase - my track is Boat Chase pt.1 (Early Version) with the wedding march removed, then Boat Chase part 2, then Boat Chase part 1, then Low Bridge (which I removed from its place), since I didn't feel it was building up to enough of a "fuck yeah" ending, then the Boat Chase coda. I also seamlessly added 1:48-end of the song to On the Train / Finale, which involved some dynamic speed manipulation since this section starts by slowing down from the "action" part.

I’m mainly interested in the David Arnold scores. It’s not that I have any issue with the older ones, but I don’t know if I’d ever enjoy or revisit them, and I might just end up with a pile of 007 scores I don’t need. License to Kill was an exception I made but even that one, I found the OST was basically sufficient.

I can see how you might think of the old Barry scores as creaky because they’re before your time (many of them are before my time). I did not grow up with Bond. They were too serious and grounded for this Star Wars kid.  Boy was I wrong, and the music is just awesome to discover.

I do get it if old scores don’t appeal, because I have a hard time with Golden Age stuff, which in theory I should like because of Star Wars.

But if you can afford them, and you like the Arnold scores, I don’t think you’d regret the older ones.

Aren’t I good at spending your money for you?;)

I enjoy the scores within the movies though, I just don’t know if I’d enjoy endless 007 CDs outside of the movie. Arnold’s scores are just better.

This is a great release. Even if you have the previous expansion from over 20 years ago, Chris Malone’s audio work on this is breathtaking, and it’s great to have the full score play complete & chronological on Disc 1. This is one of my most played of LLL’s 11 Bond expansions, to be honest. (Is it sacrilege to say I like what Martin does with the Bond theme even more than what Barry does with it? Such swagger!)

Don’t miss this while it’s still available, and regret having to pay through the nose for a second hand copy later!
