Tom Guernsey 3,496 Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 Typical. I only got the old expanded edition recently. Happy to have tempted fate on this occasion. It’s no JB Bond score but still a pretty decent listen and the song is one of the best. Badzeee 1
Badzeee 155 Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 One of my fave non-JB Bond scores, so I'm all in. This and expanded Octopussy! Hopefully this means the other Roger Moore Bond scores will see the light of day as expanded editions too. [Looks very meaningfully at Moonraker.]
TolkienSS 513 Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 A way better score than Octopussy for sure.
A. A. Ron 2,412 Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 Hard disagree. Like ‘em both though.
OneBuckFilms 503 Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 Well this is an awesome Christmas surprise. I’ve heard bits of this one in the past and enjoyed it so this was an easy quick order.
Mr. Who 1,081 Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 Love these scores, what a nice surprise! I hope they do OHMSS, Moonraker and TMWTGG next! OneBuckFilms and Yavar Moradi 2
Popular Post OneBuckFilms 503 Posted December 25, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 25, 2023 There are a huge number of Bond scores, and an incredible musical legacy that deserves special attention like these LLLR releases. Die Another Day, The World is Not Enough, Tomorrow Never Dies, and now Octopussy and Live and Let Die. It seems the floodgates have opened. Andy, Stark and Badzeee 3
1977 1,986 Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 Quite the surprise. I think I'll seek out the earlier expansion and hold thumbs for the rest of the Moore scores to follow (and Licence to Kill).
OneBuckFilms 503 Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 This should be shipping soon. Hope my standalone order gets sent out today as scheduled.
Jay 44,824 Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 It seems the first printing run has sold out

Popular Post OneBuckFilms 503 Posted January 20, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 20, 2024 Listening to CD 1. Really enjoying this one. It has a kind of swagger to it I really like. Lots of fun. Smaug The Iron, Mr Keith Hicks, A. A. Ron and 1 other 4

bollemanneke 4,249 Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Am I correct that, on the OST program, tracks 3 4 5 7 9 11 13 and 14 must be kept because they are not repeated in the film program?

Holko 11,856 Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 A fantastic sounding release of a great fin score! I love the art direction, a tasteful reimagining/homage to the early 70s era, the credits pages especially. I did change a handful of things around in the score - I moved San Monique in front of Baron Samedi, moved San Monique (Early) after Baron as "Bond Meets Rosie". I also reimagined Boat Chase - my track is Boat Chase pt.1 (Early Version) with the wedding march removed, then Boat Chase part 2, then Boat Chase part 1, then Low Bridge (which I removed from its place), since I didn't feel it was building up to enough of a "fuck yeah" ending, then the Boat Chase coda. I also seamlessly added 1:48-end of the song to On the Train / Finale, which involved some dynamic speed manipulation since this section starts by slowing down from the "action" part. Yavar Moradi 1

Popular Post Andy 6,931 Posted Sunday at 01:55 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 01:55 PM Don’t miss this one. Just because it ain’t Barry doesn’t mean it isn’t great. LALD is a really fun listen. Cameron007, Holko, Yavar Moradi and 1 other 4
Xander Harris 8,920 Posted Sunday at 02:23 PM Posted Sunday at 02:23 PM I’m mainly interested in the David Arnold scores. It’s not that I have any issue with the older ones, but I don’t know if I’d ever enjoy or revisit them, and I might just end up with a pile of 007 scores I don’t need. License to Kill was an exception I made but even that one, I found the OST was basically sufficient. FBC Director 1
Andy 6,931 Posted Sunday at 08:12 PM Posted Sunday at 08:12 PM I can see how you might think of the old Barry scores as creaky because they’re before your time (many of them are before my time). I did not grow up with Bond. They were too serious and grounded for this Star Wars kid. Boy was I wrong, and the music is just awesome to discover. I do get it if old scores don’t appeal, because I have a hard time with Golden Age stuff, which in theory I should like because of Star Wars. But if you can afford them, and you like the Arnold scores, I don’t think you’d regret the older ones. Aren’t I good at spending your money for you? Yavar Moradi 1
Xander Harris 8,920 Posted Sunday at 11:32 PM Posted Sunday at 11:32 PM I enjoy the scores within the movies though, I just don’t know if I’d enjoy endless 007 CDs outside of the movie. Arnold’s scores are just better. Andy 1
Yavar Moradi 4,118 Posted Monday at 09:57 PM Posted Monday at 09:57 PM This is a great release. Even if you have the previous expansion from over 20 years ago, Chris Malone’s audio work on this is breathtaking, and it’s great to have the full score play complete & chronological on Disc 1. This is one of my most played of LLL’s 11 Bond expansions, to be honest. (Is it sacrilege to say I like what Martin does with the Bond theme even more than what Barry does with it? Such swagger!) Don’t miss this while it’s still available, and regret having to pay through the nose for a second hand copy later! Yavar Holko and Trope 2
