If I have a wild guess, 2 CD's Complete score, 1 CD Original score, 1 CD Melanesian Choirs. I hope I'm so wrong about that. If it includes a film mix of 'Journey to the Line' (with the Taiko's in full front), all is good. I wonder if the Cosmic Beam cues will be included though. Can't wait to finally have this precious score in full lossless quality. I will definitely revisit my own mix and adjust accordingly. Richard Penna 3,694
I think I'd struggle to buy a 4-CD set of that. There are a couple of unreleased cues I'd add - one of them being some piece Klaus Badelt wrote that's on a promo somewhere. Other than that I think Zimmer created a superb concept album. It's one of my favourite Zimmer scores and I've never seen the film. It has rather a special place for me, as I played it a lot during a family USA road trip years ago, and subsequently used some of it in the resultant video. I'll always associate it particularly with Canyon De Chelly in drizzle.

crocodile 8,017
No, I'm with Koray on this one. SPR is a fine film but it can't touch Malick at the height of his powers. Karol Yavar Moradi
Naïve Old Fart 9,534
I've always found THE THIN RED LINE to be a little confusing, in that it had no real central character; no protagonist, and no antagonist, and, therefore, no-one for the audience to identity with. I understand that a film doesn't always need this, but this kind of absence, IMO, doesn't "ground" the film. It's a great film to watch, and to listen to, though. Maybe the rumoured 4hr. cut would clarify things.
crocodile 8,017
It's Terrence Malick, man! He doesn't do plots and characters. His films are mostly tone poems. Sometimes it doesn't work... Karol
StRuPiE 15
Yeah, crocodile is right. It's Malick, there's no logic. He frames his shots so beautiful, it's like a painting, true art!
