The part after the Coruscant-like percussion stuff in Tuk Tuk Chase 2 is deliciously chaotic. There´s so much going on, I am picking up something new each time I listen. Voller and Helena's themes integrated into the On the Conveyer Belt stuff (I think they almost play off each other). Some absolutely mental harp playing going on before Indy's B theme plays as well.

Listening to this isolated score makes me REALLY wish TROS also had a isolated score. It is such a shame they didn't follow TLJ's lead.

Just finished it. The last third of the score, beginning with To the Airport, flows much better in complete form! The OST had a decent listening experience, but in C&C it has much more space to breathe and tell a narrative, especially the last third.
 
Overall, a fine score aside from the messy opening.

In light of this, I'm going to make some lifestyle changes starting today. 

if anything this makes me want to buy ALL of LLL's BF releases to support a company that actually gives a damn about their customers rather than Disney just taking a dump in our cereal during maybe the greatest week out of the year for film score fans.

I just black-fridayed 36 CDs full of Prokofiev for $65 ...$1.8 per disc!

FUCK OFF DISNEY

When we found out that the FYC equals the OST, I thought we'd have to live with the OST presentation of the score for years and years. Can't believe we'll have music to supplement the OST so soon now.

I know, it's crazy that we're 8 weeks away from another hour of new John Williams Indiana Jones music!

For all of you complaining about the movie, honestly, I've always just been happy to get a new Indiana Jones film from 80-year old Harrison Ford and 90-year-old John Williams. It felt good to genuinely be excited for a movie after whatever Hollywood has been doing to us lately.
 
And the one movie I looked forward to gets an isolated score track? !!!!!

I'm starting to believe this was really JW's last film score and this news brings a nice sense of closure. After the botched CD release that contains less than half of the music, at least we get an iso score to make acceptable fan edits of his last "big" blockbuster type score while we wait 15 years for the official expansion

As a summer action film, it is very good although the action direction isn't up to Spielberg's level but then action few films are. Ford's performance is excellent.
 
As an Indy film, it has the same problem as other franchise legacy sequels were it replaces the hero's satisfying ending from the original films and makes them depressed washed up seniors. That's not really what I want to see in an Indy film. Look at Henry from TLC, he was an elderly senior but still had loads of enthusiasm and zest for life.

What a strange twist of this blessedly unexpected Lucasfilm epilogue to JW’s career: the two worst films he scored this decade get the greatest love lavished on their scores on home video. 
 
What’s really bizarre is that, again and again, Disney has used Williams’ name to hype their Lucasfilm projects at insanely early points—remember that photo of the Star Wars brain trust in, like, 2012?—but they’ve done next to nothing to make real, quantifiable money off lovingly rendered releases of the hours of music he actually wrote for the projects. If you think mentioning an obscure audio option in a tweet will raise demand for a video release that’s two months away, just imagine if you tried selling us the music properly!

I thought it was a very nice interview and JW seemed to enjoy the discussion a lot. His voice has aged (understandably for a nonagenarian) but his mind is still very sharp and that is definitely the more important of the two.
