The second episode was okay. I am not a big horror fan, but at least it was Sci-fi horror. I liked that it wasn't a character-driven episode, though of course there were character bits. But it was cool seeing so much of the main cast basically just doing their jobs. It was neat to see a bit of the old (the Krill—always a delight) and something new. Space exploration is always great. The score definitely stood out, especially something based on “The Cloud” from Star Trek TMP. The main drawbacks of this episode for me are that they are still flexing their budget so much as to be distracting, and the acting. I don’t know what it was about this episode, but most of the cast and especially Kelly and Claire were particularly stilted in their delivery in this episode. Also, there is still a distinct lack of humor. I hope that’s just due to the nature of this (and the previous) episode, and not the new overall direction.

I do think this particular reboot was completely inept and alienating. They should have let the EU wind down with dignity and even celebration, rather than throw it in the trash bin with a sneer and a laugh. They mocked it and then proceeded to rip it off, poorly.

Had to watch Kenobi because I've heard it's a trainwreck, but holy hell it's special.
 
I thought Star Wars was dead since the Last Jedi, but didn't realise it was possible to keep murdering a corpse over and over again. 
 
I haven't watched a single Disney Star Wars product since Rise of Skywalker (which I only watched to laugh at, but found I couldn't even finish it.)
 
I truly don't understand how humans can make such insulting media and no one stops them. 
 
I love Ewan McGregor, but even he looks bored to death playing Obi Wan again.
 
I watched the 3 episodes and laughed, got angry, was baffled, and just about every other emotion. It's a catastrophe. The music makes me want to be sick. But the writing (if you can call it that) it just embarrassing. I could write a 300 page essay of the problems I've seen.
 
Even simple things like establishing shots of towns are just awful. Everyone looks like they're cosplaying at Disney Star Wars Land. George Lucas must be rolling in his grave...I mean piles of money.

What do people think about classifying the “New Han and Leia” concert piece under TFA rather than ESB? Of course it is a quote of the ESB theme, but, isn’t its added melancholy due to the contemporary sad events portrayed in TFA? I imagine it as Leia contemplating their relationship at the time of their bittersweet reunion in TFA, or after Han’s death.

I think it's derived from the force theme.

It's a shame they stopped doing the "one thing" planets, like ice planet, lava planet, forest planet, sinkhole planet... That was cute. Now, they're just mostly "regular Earth in shitty weather" planets.

This new trilogy was simply announced too quickly after "The Last Jedi" was released (EDIT: or announced, anyway...)... All the weaknesses of "The Last Jedi" were revealed by all the catching up required in "Rise of Skywalker" to try to close the trilogy.
 
Now that the Saga is over, TLJ looks a bit like a poor child. This is an episode that goes in all directions, except forward.

Yes, Stephen Oliver nailed it IMO.
 
Donald Swann and Leonard Rosenman also both did a great job, albeit within the conventions of their respective genres. I would say the same of Shore.
