Edmilson got a reaction from crumbs in Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon

Zack Snyder Says His R-Rated Director's Cut Of REBEL MOON Is "Almost A Completely Different Movie"
Zack the Hack saw the pitiful reviews that his latest crap is getting and now is taking another "Snyder Cut" from his own butt to use as an excuse. He's already setting up excuses and the next grift for his devout cult of imbeciles on Twitter, but will they care now that this is an "original" (lol) project that doesn't have The Punisher Batman and Superman?

Edmilson got a reaction from Mr. Who in The Thomas Newman Thread
Thomas is doing his part to keep the Newman dinasty strong.

Both look ugly though.

But Indiana Jones films aren't supposed to stink, so it can't be.
Dude, the fridge.

Nah, that's just an urban legend.

Edmilson reacted to Thor in What is the best track called "The Wedding" (or variations of that)?
That's a funny coincidence, because the very score I'm playing now - Armand Amar's BAB' AZÎZ - has a track called "The Wedding".
For me, there is no contest - JNH wins this all the way, with his track from WYATT EARP, in my opinion one of the most gorgeous love themes ever written.
But plenty of other good ones too, of course. iTunes lists 34 tracks in my collection with that name.

Edmilson reacted to Raiders of the SoundtrArk in Rank The Indiana Jones Films
It has the best title and I have to say that all three are almost as great. I have a little preference for TLC because of Sean Connery, and for TOD because of Short Round but in the end all three are among my top 10 movies ever

Edmilson got a reaction from ThePenitentMan1 in Rank The Indiana Jones Films
In my headcanon, KOTCS and DoD were actually visions of his dark future that Indy saw when he was under the influence of the Blood of Kali, who showed him that just to torment him.

Edmilson got a reaction from ThePenitentMan1 in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (James Mangold, June 30 2023)
Fixed. The studio will try to make it "appeal to current sensibilities" to "attract a younger audience" but it'll be so poorly received on social media that they'll have to quickly re-shoot the ending.
I know, right? They literally dug Archimedes' grave, wherever that is, and used artificial intelligence to turn his centuries-old remains into his younger self.
If this movie doesn't get the Oscar for Best Visual Effects I'll be pissed.

Edmilson got a reaction from JNHFan2000 in What is the best track called "The Wedding" (or variations of that)?
There's a surprisingly amount of tracks on soundtrack albums named "The Wedding", just like there are many named "The Hunt". And the best part: most of them are great! Wedding scenes always seem to be a nice source of inspiration for talented composers.
Horner has perhaps the best tracks with that name:
JNH also scored a few weddings of his own:
There's also "The Ceremony" from Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, but because of the title of the track I feel like that would be cheating a bit
More weddings!
There's also the Finale from Attack of the Clones, but since John Williams didn't title his cue "The Wedding", then it can't appear here. That would be cheating.
And before some jerk inevitably makes that joke, here it is:
Now choose the best song for YOUR wedding!

Judging by your username, I thought you would've ranked Raiders a little higher

Edmilson reacted to Bayesian in The Hans Zimmer Thead
This co-branding bullshit is getting out of hand. Rolls Royce probably paid Zimmer some ridiculously large sum of money for a fucking chord. God help our idiot species.

Yup. And for every three that make it into postproduction, one will get sacrificed for the tax write-off.

I like you, Edmilson, so it’d be a crying shame if I had to (regretfully, unwillingly) block you for a month so I don’t have to see Boasty “I slaved for a year and went to all kinds of trouble to hire half of Europe to play my shitty music” McBoastface when I browse the forum. A real shame, because I think the odds JW gets nominated are well better than even.

Edmilson reacted to MaxMovieMan in Non-JW Favourite Short Musical Moments
This is one of my all-time favorite scores and also my favorite movie of all time. The strings starting at 3:30 in this track are so magical. In the film I choke up every time that part happens.
This is my favorite small track from the film, especially the moment at 0:42 when Andy is driving down the coast of the Pacific. Literal cinematic and musical perfection. I don’t know if we’ll ever get a more perfect movie that everybody can enjoy than “The Shawshank Redemption.”

Another gorgeous example. You're right, these are exemplary moments of film music.
Newman's a genious. I just wish he had the opportunity to write this sort of stuff again.
