The Korngoldian splendor of this lone minute still reaffirms my faith in filmmusic now and then.

Datameister 2,086
Lots of 'em, although not as many these days, unfortunately. I really do wonder exactly how that physical sensation of chills happens when listening to really great music...it's pretty weird...Really what this comes down to is I need to spend more of my listening time without doing other activities. I've gotten so bad over the last few years about doing other stuff while I listen, and it dilutes my attention and appreciation for the music. I blame part of this on my use of the computer for most of my listening - it's easier to just sit next to a CD player and not do anything else than to avoid the temptations of the Internet and so forth while listening in iTunes - but honestly, I just need to fix it. I'll enjoy the music more. Maybe even try Joey's dark listening test for a few albums, if I ever get a chance when my roommates are gone and I'm not busy. Naïve Old Fart 9,695
Well if we are talking actual chills, as being frightened, then "Barry's Abduction" is the one.I quite agree, this is scary stuff, indeed, and not to be listened to on your own, and in the dark (although that is probably the best time to listen to it...). "Turning back The World" always does it for me, oh, and I never fail to get chils, when, on the extras dvd for "THP" Rick McCallum says "this is awesome", then the credits, and then the ENORMOUS cheer from the audience. Wonderful. Funnily enough, "Superman Returns" main title gets me going simply because I'd never thought that I would hear THAT music at the cinema again.P.s., when Chris Eccleston first looked up from the Tardis console and said "d'you wanna come with me?", I melted... Melange 446
Which JW tracks send chills down your spine?, And I mean it literally! That part near the end of Raiders just 'before' and 'as' the spirit raises its face to turn nasty. It's one of those examples where only a few seconds of music can give you that chill.Edit : You can hear it on this video. Starts at 2:46 and ends at 2:57.
