Romão 2,430 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 So, can we safely assume this will be a 2cd set?
Jay 42,671 Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 is it limited?100% of the information MV has given is in the main post.
Wojo 2,458 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 KM, if you can't afford one at the moment, I'll save you one.
Admiral Holdo 16 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 The month's going to go by like molasses... in January... covered in a billion copies of Heaven's Gate.
King Mark 3,835 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 KM, if you can't afford one at the moment, I'll save you one.No worries, I'll be glued to my computer and order it the first minute
Nemesis 287 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I am waiting for this announcement since October 2000. Then I learned about the Concorde boot, which I was dissapointed about the sound quality. The next weeks could be very looooong....
KK 3,310 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Praise the Lord! ITS HAPPENING! I really like the cover art too Now comes the wait...the calm before the storm...
Nemesis 287 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I LOVE the cover art!!!!!!!!!!! I agree, that's just beautiful. Quite similar to the Concorde but better!
Red 75 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I knew it was only a matter of time, but I'm still dumbfounded to see it actually happening.
Thor 9,308 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 As I've already said, I'm more than content with the old Epic release (I even think that is a bit on the long side), but I gotta say one thing -- that cover blows the old one out of the water! If memory serves, it was the same they had on one of the old boots, but this one seems more slick.
Jay 42,671 Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 They did a great job of taking a rectangular poster and making it square
Thor 9,308 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 He, he...true. But the artwork for the film itself is pretty nifty, like those old Peak covers. Anyone knows who did it?

Okay.~*~(Garfio is Spanish for hook. I figured but had to look it up.)
KK 3,310 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I've always hated how Tinker Bell sticks out in that poster...
Demondm810 437 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to hear all the sparkly clean and crisp Mattessino goodness!
Demondm810 437 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I've always hated how Tinker Bell sticks out in that poster...I have one of his books, and if memory serves he had to do that after finishing the original piece. He also talks about how Dustin Hoffman had him over to his house to share ideas how Hook should look on the poster.
Alan 743 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Day 1 order for me! Let's hope we get a track list before too long
Admiral Holdo 16 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 1941 (2CD) was 30 dollars. And from what I understand, there's just enough music to fit on two CDs.Course, I wouldn't mind a third of the remastered OST, but I won't mind holding onto my Epic CD either.
King Mark 3,835 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I'd rather have a third disk of alternates than a remastered OST
Jay 42,671 Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 Only 150 minutes of music was recorded for the film. 3CDs isn't necessary.
Muad'Dib 1,951 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 The boat in the Spanish poster is awesome! Was that even in the film at all?
Luke Skywalker 2,216 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 awesome! lets hope nothing is missing instant buy on day one
Wojo 2,458 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Ugh. What a disappointment. What, that we have to wait a month? I agree!
Johnnyecks 33 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Ugh. What a disappointment.And kidding. I blew a mind load.
Wojo 2,458 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 This new is the best Ash Wednesday present I've ever gotten!
Augie 1 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 So, where's BloodBoal now?La-La-Land did just throw a massive spanner in his plans! It wasfunny - but just for 3 hours. So, next time, BloodBoal, if you think you've developed anotherwitty prank - you should rather shut up, right? Just remember mywords.
KK 3,310 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 So, where's BloodBoal now?La-La-Land did just throw a massive spanner in his plans! It wasfunny - but just for 3 hours. So, next time, BloodBoal, if you think you've developed anotherwitty prank - you should rather shut up, right? Just remember mywords.March 26, 2012We regret to inform you all that La La Land will not be going through with our Hook release due to unforeseen circumstances. While I am not able to share with you who or what has caused this unfortunate situation, I will apologize to all those who believed that we could fly...we can't.To make up for this disappointing affair, please enjoy an expansive 4CD release of James Newton Howard's score for Peter Pan!- MV
Augie 1 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 With still a month to go, and probably no material from the original Peter Pan musical,my exitement for this release is rather restrained. At least we can replace the Concordeboot, now.
Little Ghost 7,895 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 With probably no material from the original Peter Pan musical, my exitement for this release is rather restrained.I thought that that was debunked as a rumor and that there was no musical or something...
Luke Skywalker 2,216 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 oh no!!!! why do the labels always choose the worse days for release? in march 26-30 im going to be isolated on some mountains...
Little Ghost 7,895 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 oh no!!!! why do the labels always choose the worse days for release? in march 26-30 im going to be isolated on some mountains...No worries! I will buy 2 copies for both of us!(I am joking, so don't hold me to this!)
indy4 159 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Woo! I haven't been this excited since Varese Sarabande released Family Plot. Thanks you, LLL!!!!!I kinda like the OST cover more, but this one definitely better fits the film and score. As for the discage, I think we can expect 3 CDs. 2 for the score, and 1 with the OST. The ultimate treat would be if LLL took the time to record some of the songs from the musical, but I'm not expecting that.
Trent B 348 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Are we dreaming? If we are, then life is a dream. (cue the Star Trek theme).BTW I agree with Jason regarding the artwork.I used the same artwork but wasn't sure how to make it look good.
LongTallJodie 62 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 DRY LAND HOOK IS NOT A MYTH.I have little-to-no money and rarely (if ever) buy these specialty releases, but... yeah. I'll be F5ing their site as soon as I wake up that morning and I'll keep clicking until I can shove my money through the interwebs and down their throat.
