BB-8 3,497
I think the following has some relevance in this thread, too: Apparently, Richard Strauss' VPO Fanfare will be played directly after the "God save the King" exclamation! Wow! Small world... Fanfare Strauss: Wiener Philharmoniker The Abbey bells ring for 2 minutes. A fanfare is sounded followed by a Gun Salute which will be fired by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery stationed at Horse Guards Parade. This will be accompanied by Gun Salutes at His Majesty’s Fortress the Tower of London fired by the Honourable Artillery Company, and at all Saluting Stations throughout the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Bermuda, and Ships at Sea. Marian Schedenig 8,218
It's a precedent. The next royal generation grew up on Williams-scored films, perhaps we'll get his fanfare for the next coronation. BB-8

King Mark 3,631
I was assuming the orchestra was playing the fanfare live as the people walked in. But if I look at the clips i don't see any orchestra playing so they must be playing a recording which could possibly be released. BB-8

Popular Post BB-8 3,497
Vienna Philharmonic Ball 2024 Press announcement On January 18, 2024 at 10:00 p.m., the 81st Ball of the Vienna Philharmonic will take place in the halls of the Vienna Musikverein. Traditionally, the ball is ceremoniously opened by the Vienna Philharmonic in the Great Hall of the Vienna Musikverein. The opening in 2024 will be musically conducted by Philippe Jordan, who will thus make his "ball debut". The programme of the opening of the ball includes 2 works by Johann Strauss Jr.: the waltz Roses from the South, op. 388, and the Polka Fast Under Thunder and Lightning, op. 324. 100 years ago, the ball of the Vienna Philharmonic took place for the first time. Richard Strauss composed the Vienna Philharmonic Fanfare for the occasion, which can still be heard today at the opening. John Williams also dedicated a ball fanfare to the orchestra last year. His Fanfare for the Vienna Philharmonic Ball will also be heard again.
