OneBuckFilms 382
The original CD and the LP were from the same album master I think. The 2009 release had different reverb on the voiceover, and if I recall correctly, the timing was put in a different spot more in line with the film. Datameister 2,279
That's the one thing that's better on the OST than the FSM release - the reverb on the Spock voiceover.

OneBuckFilms 382
No shipping for me yet. They do have this information on the front page text scroll so I recommend bearing it in mind: SHIPPING NOTICE: Given the current pandemic crisis, please be patient with shipping. We are working steadily and safely, on a limited schedule according to local ordinances, to get orders out in a timely fashion. Expect up to 7 business days from the date you place your order for it to ship from our warehouse and, then, we respectfully ask customers to wait up to 4 weeks to inquire about packages/deliveries not yet received. All such inquiries should be made to info@lalaland-ent.com – Thank you. Please stay well and safe, everyone! We're doing the same here at LLL, following all business mandates & safety precautions, as we continue to take, process and ship online orders. Popular Post Jay 39,428
The TWOK part is starting now! They are played the finale cue with Nimoy's voiceover, and there is reverb Neil just told the story of how he got the tapes. He selected what he wanted, the transfers showed up, and it was only after he began playing it that he realized it was every take of every cue instead of the selected takes reel they had the first time around. Must have been so cool to experience that! Deniz just told an interesting story about how the producers of the first film made Jerry move away from the initial "nautical" music he had recorded, while here in Trek 2 a nautical sound was desired. And I was reminded that Horner was only 28 when he wrote this! Neil talked about having to use a rip of the Stat Trek II 45RPM 7" to rebuilt its unique End Title Edit track from his new session files, to give it its digital debut! Deniz is playing the various themes on his keyboards and showing how they can interact with each other, it's very cool! NL197 435
It was always strange to me, that whenever the Blu-ray bonus features cut to scenes from their films, they were HD, but without the DNR. Generations was obvious. It had grain and more natural colors in the extras than the film itself.

I was stricken with a bug since late Wednesday evening so I apologise for sounding groggy during most of the show. I’d prerecorded Neil and Deniz on Monday so I was more myself then, thankfully. Deniz messaged me to say that Sara Horner (James Horner’s widow) listened to the full show live last night and enjoyed it, highlighting The Wonder Years segment with Star Trek 2, so that was lovely to hear. Here’s a link to the full show and a longer edit of the Star Trek 2 segment will be in next month’s FSM Online. crumbs 14,869
At least it shows the AFM are flexible with changing their policy, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Doesn't help with the post-2005 issue though, which is what really needs to be fixed. I can't see that changing without a majority vote of members, or an entirely new agreement (neither scenario looks realistic in the foreseeable future).
