My only compliant is the missing staccato piano overlays from "The Ambush" and the unreleased film take of "Deleting The Evidence", but other than that, it looks like a fantastic set

Yes, I'm a fan of GoldenEye's score as well, so no hating from me.
"Run, Shoot, and Jump" just speaks for itself...

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Some people imagine a Bond film scored by JW, but I'm more interested in what his approach would have sounded like for a low-key spy film that focused more on espionage. Probably something in the vein of Presumed Innocent (the main theme of which, in terms of emotion, fits perfectly!)

All the ones I've seen at the Royal Albert Hall have had subtitles. I do rather wish they would dial down the dialogue and sound effects a bit more, or maybe remove them completely, and not bother showing the film. Oh and removing any post-production edits to the music. ;-)

Yeah, it could be Moonraker, but wouldn't it be more interesting if it turned out to be GoldenEye?  With the Williams quote being how he always wanted to score a Bond film and it turns out that he was approached to do GoldenEye, but his agent said he wasn't available.

Munich would fit the bill. The "hope it will be well received" line comes across as slightly hesitant, perhaps because there's not much unreleased music, but it could signal changes to the post-2005 AFM rules (meaning post-WOTW expansions might be possible now).

This. I skipped the Oscar thread as the ceremony was happening, so idk how everyone feels about the movie or its awards, but man, I hated it.
 
I did not have expectations before watching it, but if it hadn't been for my date, I would have left the theater after enduring 15 minutes and demanded a refund. Kudos to Michelle Yeoh, though; easily the best part of the experience

Nixon is an absolute must-see. It’s a goddamn operatic tour de force by an A-list cast (Paul Sorvino as Kissinger was incredible). Oliver Stone in the 90s brought out the Greek tragedy in JW like no one else. God, how I pine for an expanded Nixon soundtrack.

Through the generosity of someone outside Lincoln Center who had an extra ticket (and refused any money for it) I ended up with an incredible fifth row orchestra dead center seat. I was able to attend the dinner and after party as well thanks to someone who had to leave before dinner. It was amazing to be so close to JW.
 
Chris Martin performed “Fanfare for Solo Trumpet” at the start of the dinner. JW spoke at the dinner for several minutes and made a number of jokes about his granddaughter saying he’s not woke after hearing him call the NY Phil President “babe” and “angel,” and JW argued that it’s one of the things you can get away with being 91. He declared that he’d have to continue working until he’s 100. He also called for political change against the Trump sorts (though he didn’t mention Trump by name). Hillary Clinton attended the dinner but didn’t speak (though I was able to get a selfie with her, not included below).
 
The after party was quite tame with no sign of Williams or others. I didn’t see anyone dancing.

What a night! I was front row furthest to the left, which unexpectedly meant that when Williams left his seat to take the stage, he walked right past me! We locked eyes a couple times as he came and went from the stage. You can see him walk past me in the fourth slide of this post :

The music was lovely as ever, the live-to-picture parts being especially fun and the pieces conducted by the Maestro himself the ultimate highlights of the evening. And it was indeed strange seeing him without his glasses! lol. I also don’t think Williams actually said a word to the audience.
