Koray Savas 2,251
Jurassic Park IV should not be made. There should be an overly elaborate system that destroys all traces of Jurassic Park III, and afterwards Spielberg directs the "original" JP III.If you ask me they should have stopped after Jurassic Park. The Lost World is the worst Spielberg/Williams film.

JoeinAR 1,949
It's so easy to make a joke out of this, but seriously, who would you choose if you had to cast actors for Jurassic Park 4? Money would be no objection I have thought about which actors would work in an adventure/jungle movie, and which actors would be interesting to see together. I would have some actors necessary to return for the sake of continuity, some are just good enough to return and then I added some interesting actors, in my view. My suggestions:Sam Neill - Dr. Alan Grant Alessandro Nivola - Dr. Billy BrennanJeff Goldblum - Dr. Ian MalcolmLaura Dern - Dr. Ellie SattlerJulianne Moore - Sarah HardingRichard Attenborough - John Hammond Claire Danes - Lex Murphy/student Paul Walker - Tim Murphy/studentCamilla Belle - Cathy Bowman/studentDennis Quaid - BiologistJodie Foster - BiologistStanley Tucci - Lawyer/officialChristopher Walken - Financer/officialMorgan Freeman - Financer/officialPete Postlethwaite - Roland TemboArnold Vosloo - Military/hunterJason Statham - Military/hunterGerard Butler - Military/hunterOded Fehr - Military/hunterLuis Guzmán - Local guide/hunterAdewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje - Local guide/hunterDjimon Hounsou - Local guide/hunteryeah a cast that big on a 4th movie, don't think so
MSM 126
Hm, why do you want to recast Tim and Lex? What's wrong with Joseph Mazzello and Ariana Richards?Joseph Mazello isn't that much in acting any more and Ariana Richards neither. I love Claire Danes' natural acting style and think she'd do great in a JP movie. Also physically she'd be a believable older Lex Murphy.Ragrding to Tim, I couldn't think of a really suitable older Tim, but I think Paul Walker has some charisma, and I'd like to see him more often. MSM 126
Walker? Charisma? I've only seen him in Timeline, where he defined the exact opposite of charisma...I saw him in the Fast and the Furious 1 and 2 and time line, and I thought he portrays his characters quite good. He may be not that versatile, but he really is who he should play in his roles, especially in Timeline. I think he'd do ok in a type cast role in JP. But I also think he would have made a great Anakin in Revenge of the Sith.
Ray Barnsbury 8
I have no idea if there's already an idea of which characters will be back or what, but if the film has to be made, I'd like to see all returning characters played by the same actors.Ray Barnsbury

Luke Skywalker 1,807
It seems there could be another trilogy, not related with the other one. A new direction.Somekind of reboot...but without telling the same story?Source: Joe Johnston. You said that there was no way to get people back on the island for a fourth time and have it make sense, but that 2001 was the last installment and we're due.Well, there is going to be a Jurassic Park IV. And it's going to be unlike anything you've seen. It breaks away from the first threeit's essentially the beginning of the second Jurassic Park trilogy. It's going to be done in a completely different way. That's pretty much all I can tell you. A second trilogy? If you think of the first three as a trilogy, number four would be the beginning of a second trilogy. That's big. So not to lock you in, but there's a possibility there might be a total of six films?Well, you never know. If they keep workingand if audiences keep going to themthere's no reason why there wouldn't be. We just want to make them justified in their own right. We don't want to make sequel after sequel just because there's a market for it. We want to tell different, interesting stories. You don't want to just sell hamburger. Greg1138 3
Not sure why JPIII needs to be a "guilty pleasure" - it's a great popcorn movie....less depth, less tension, less effective all round than the first 2, but still moves at cracking pace with an intelligent script....and is not plagued by overlength!! Good fun....

Docteur Qui 1,544
Nothing will ever top the T-Rex in the rain sequence in terms of believing I was actually watching a real dinosaur. We'll hear talk of how it won't be effects-driven and the action will be traditional and the dinos will be animatronic/puppets blah blah blah. Then when the movie rolls up our eyes will melt from all the unconvincing CGI. It'll just be Indy 4 all over again.
Richard Penna 3,757
God I hope not. 3 movies is enough and makes a highly respectable trilogy.I have always thought that the first novel would make a good miniseries actually, given how many subtleties and sub-plots are missing from the film.(but then I tend to imagine many books as miniseries', such as Potter - gives them more room to breathe w/o stretching on for hours.)Then when the movie rolls up our eyes will melt from all the unconvincing CGI. Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,493
JP3, among the worst movies I've ever seen. They killed the T-Rex with a giant duck, somehow made Alan Grant into a lame ass and replaced all other established likable characters with an irritating family. Where the hell are the guys with guns, T-Rex chases, Jeff Goldblum and Vince Vaughn? This movie blows Dilophosaur venom. Heed the goofy warning during the establishing shot of the island. This movie should be RESTRICTED.

Docteur Qui 1,544
So it's unreasonable to expect some degree of polish and realism because it's just a movie about dinosaurs? The first JP movie set a pretty high bar in terms of special effects and still managed to tell an interesting story with some likeable characters. I'm not expecting Citizen Kane, but I don't want to watch Transformers again either. I don't think there's anything outrageous about that.
