The Force Awakens Disney Records OST

Not Mr. Big

RotS is the best prequel score for me for that exact reason. I can enjoy the individual pieces. When a score only draws its appeal from being heard as a whole, it's boring.

..................so in your opinion, TPM can only draw appeal from being heard as a whole?

What if TPM is appealing as both individual pieces (Anakin's theme, Flag Parade, Qui Gon vs Maul in the Desert, Leaving Home, Fuel of the Fates, list goes on), and is also appealing from being heard as a whole? Wouldn't that make it the best prequel score, if ROTS is only pleasing when taken in pieces?

Yes that release was unfortunate, but at least rectified twice over. Who knows when we'll get more TFA music released.

I hope the flow from track to track is good. My only disappointment with the listing is the relative brevity of what look like concert tracks (rey, march, scherzo), but that is mainly for future live performances. Perhaps the published concert versions will be longer.

I just can't believe we only get 2 1/2 minutes out of the final battle! I wanted that track to be 10 minutes long!

Perhaps only part of that final battle is scored?

Perhaps Williams is being just as brutal as ever in excluding good music from the album. He and Goldsmith excelled at that and I respect them a lot for leaving off massive highlights of the score as if they didn't even matter.

Can anyone find the original tweet where it first appeared?

I'm curious as to how long it will take for it to leak.

The photo doesn't appear to be from the floor of a Wal-Mart. Is the CD getting packed for shipping to a Wal-Mart or is it being unpacked?

Yes, I snickered like a middle-school aged boy when I read "extended climax".

And was $*(@!! giddy when checking out the preview clip from 60 Minutes.

It's clearly a photo taken from an internal WalMart distribution center, not a store.

In other words, it proves that the CDs have left the manufacturing plant Disney uses and have arrived in large quantities to WalMart corporate, who is attaching their own price sticker to it then shipping them out in smaller quantities to individual stores.

Scherzo for X-Wings. With a name like that it has to be good. And what about The Falcon? Will the ship get its own theme?

Hopefully a new kick-ass motif like with 'TIE Fighter Attack' and 'Asteroid Field.'

8:51 is the time on the OST. 8:12 is the credit runtime (although I've a feeling there will be post credits logos, possibly 25 seconds worth of Disney and Bad Robot logos.)

We only got about 90 seconds of music from the finale of ROTS, so I imagine for TFA the end credits will be complete on the OST but the finale will be cut down.

So, the movie end credits are 8 minutes 12 seconds long. Do you think we'll get the whole thing on the cd?

We usually get the full end credits on CD with Star Wars, right?
