Richard Penna 3,694
The helicopter sequence was simultaneously awesome (Cruise just flew a helicopter...) and ridiculous - the bit on the cliff. But yes, M:I's USP for me will always be the practical stunts, and the fact that Cruise does his own stunts. 1 hour ago, Edmilson said: That scene could've been much more memorable, tense and exciting had Joe Kraemer scored it. The first bit where they take off... perhaps, but I like that bit, with Balfe using Schifrin's theme very well - I ripped the entirety of the main chase sequence from the BD's isolated score. The only point during that final sequence where the music descends into crappy mush is the cliff sequence.
Anthony 572
1.) Great trailer! Movie looks awesome, though more in vein of Fallout (trying to go all “epic”) than my favourite which is Rogue Nation. 2.) Also, fuck you movie marketers. It’s still 14 months until I can see this?! Ugh! 3.) As much as I think Balfe and the generic trailer music approach is bad for these movies, I *did* quite like this trailer cue. I appreciate they actually got a real orchestra to record it. Edmilson 7,471
The saddest part is that the final score probably won't sound that different from the trailer music: horn farts, Dark Knight action ostinatos, the whole orchestra sounding like synths, etc.

Anthony 572
Subtlety is completely lost on these "modern action movie" scores. How about they quieten down for a bit to, I dunno...make the audience listen closer and get invested? That said, this trailer music is better than anything in the score to Fallout. Popular Post Jay 37,373
Yay for Hayley Atwell for getting second billing, how what kind of agent does Pom Klementieff have that she gets huge poster space, yet isn't listed in the cast? Esai Morales isn't listed either, and he's playing the film's main villain, yet he's on the poster... meanwhile Henry Czerny is listed yet not shown, which makes sense cause his role can't be that big. Anyways, Hollywood crediting is weird is what I'm trying to say Also what do you call that top Klementieff has on? Popular Post Mr. Who 919
I'm avoiding the trailers but am really hyped about this movie! Cool to see Hayley Atwell have a big role again. I always thought that she should have been one of the main MCU characters as she was so good as Peggy, but of course that wasn't possible because of the 1940s setting of the first Cap movie. It's too bad that the Agent Carter show didn't get a this season, I remember enjoying it. Gabriel Bezerra, Tallguy and Yavar Moradi

She was so good in the first Cap movie, and then so good in the TV show she got! I was so bummed ABC only gave it two seasons; I swear if streaming services started up just a little sooner it probably would have been a shoe-in to get renewed. Such a missed opportunity. She's also been good when cameoing as old Peggy in various other MCU content or young Peggy again in Endgame, but man I wish she get could her own movie or another series Glad to finally see her in a high profile project again! A show about Howard Stark, Peggy, Jarvis and the creation of Shield would be really interesting to see (I'd watch that over most of the existing MCU Disney shows). It could be kind of a loose sequel/prequel to Agent Carter but maybe with a different vibe.
