Popular Post Edmilson 7,598
Which tracks for "time passing" montages do you like the most? I think this is a kinda underrated segment of tracks - the bittersweet nature of those scenes, where we see characters growing old and reaching new stages of their lives, allows for some beautiful music. Here's some of the best cues that represent this concept: What are your favorites? GerateWohl, artguy360 and Bellosh

GerateWohl 4,461
Good idea for a thread. I think, mostly those montages a underlined with a Song like beautifully in Highlander with "Who Wants to Live Forever". But I like this one as well, even though the passing of time is Not that long. https://youtu.be/vs4DNJxG4v4

TheUlyssesian 2,478
A very attractive melody from Rachel Portman that is I believe only used for this one cue - it truly does convey the sense of time passing. And of course this classic, indelible cue from Herrmann about the passage of time in Citizen Kane. GerateWohl and Taikomochi

Naïve Old Fart 9,698
"The Trip To London" is, simply, gorgeous. I'm not sure if it signifies the passage of time, but... "Planting The Charges" is brilliant, and, if memory serves, it happens in real time.
