I thought they just released them for every batch (meaning the Oct 6 flyer wouldn't be dependent on whether the Oct 28 batch gets approved). That's what I was saying earlier, there really is no "now" structure. For some period of time, maybe a stretch of a couple years, something like that, they routinely put out a flier near the beginning of each month showing what they were going to release that month, typically split between two different weeks within the month. That format eventually fell away, as approvals became a more and more delayed and nebulous process. Now, they sometimes are able to post a flier of titles for the month, however many months do not have one at all, and we simply find out what they are going to release by MV posting it to FSM and Faceobok as text, or sometimes we only find out when the email goes out the night before with all the information. EDIT: You're right, at least once they did do separate fliers in a month, one flier for each batch of titles. This means there are 3 possibilities of how we'll find out what the Oct 6 titles are 1) A graphic flier will be posted to Facebook, sometime today, tomorrow, or Friday showing the cover art of each title; We'll get the tracklists in the normal announcement email late on Monday October 5 2) MV will list the titles in text form in a Facebook post some time today, tomorrow, or Friday; We'll get the cover art and tracklists in the normal announcement email late on Monday October 5 3) We'll get no head's up at all; We'll learn what the titles are as we get the cover art and tracklists in the normal announcement email late on Monday October 5 Chewy, Smaug The Iron and Amer

Jay 37,364
Ranked solely in order of the amount of unreleased music (that we know about), I think the order is Hook Amistad WOTW Always The Terminal CMIYC But in Hook's case I meant "unreleased" in terms of "was not on the OST"; Now that the LLL edition exists there's only a small amount of music unreleased that you can hear in the film and/or boots, so I guess it depends on how many song demos or other unknown things were recorded to figure out where on the list it would fall. it is pretty spectacular how many Spielberg/Williams collaborations Mike has gone through! Though for me the Indiana Jones scores are personally much more desirable to have done by him than all these other remaining ones, even with the Concord box existing. I just love them so much! I hope Mike gets to do all 4 of those PLUS all 6 scores on this list of course - and then the post-2005 scores and Sugarland, also! Popular Post Jay 37,364
None of these specialty labels finish a title then just "wait" for a calendar to roll over before releasing it They license what they can, when they can, then it takes an amount of time you cannot predict to make it, then it takes an amount of time you cannot predict to get approved, then once it is all finally approved it goes off to get pressed and then released once that's done. They invested money to make each title happen and they need to receive income to make back that investment ASAP so they have money to license more titles. Now all that being said, there are obviously exceptions, such as Spielberg specifically requesting Mike revisit CE3K and ET in 2017 and SL and SPR in 2018. Those projects were fast tracked by all parties including the people who have to approve things to hit in their anniversary years because there where theatrical re-releases of those films in those years too. Or another one, LLL planned 2018 to be a celebration of 80 years of Superman and 40 years of Superman: The Movie by releasing the scores to 4, then 2/3, then 1, but 1 got snagged by the pesky approval process and didn't come out until February 2019, missing the 40th anniversary. And there are of course many times when they try or would like to have something come out on an anniversary year... and if it works out that is great, but it often ends up missing the anniversary due to approvals, In the end, getting the music out to us is more important to all these labels then it landing in some year that is x0 or x5 years after it came out. Jay 37,364
Quote Quote These titles are on my wantlist for ages... - Polar Express, - Atlantis complete (JN Howard) My FYC promo cd-r has turned bad, therefor a decent expanded release would be most welcome! - Captain EO (James Horner) Are any of these possible for a cd release?? Or do I just have to give up hope Yes Maybe Probably not Piss off Thor (and I mean it with love) MV That final comment was in response to this Thor post Quote POLAR EXPRESS is one of those scores where less is more. It's nice, but too sugary. As such, I actually think the 12-something minutes on the regular soundtrack is perfect - nestled in among the standard Christmas songs. But it's not a lot, so in this case I can understand the desire for more. ATLANTIS, however, is perfectly balanced the way it is. I haven't seen CAPTAIN EO since the 80s, probably, so I don't remember the amount of music. I'm just rooting for a new, previously unrelesed Horner score, whatever it is. https://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=141769&forumID=1&archive=0 Jurassic Shark

The broken record strikes again. I really don't get the point of regurgitating the same thing ad nauseam whenever expansions are brought up. We get it. We all know your take. I know. We got all of Polar Express transferred but because the current album is in print, they put the kibosh on the project. We asked about Atlantis, but Disney wanted to hold onto it for the time being. Captain EO -- I have in my head another theme park album and would love to include it (with other things like Poledouris' American Journey). But gotta get this Broughton album out first So looks like Polar Express would be released by Intrada once they have the green light, fingers crossed!
