crocodile 4839
Some more news including one particularly disappointing piece of information: Quote Hello LLL team, please can we hope for a KINGDOM OF HEAVEN box some day ? There is so much good music in the movie (director's cut) and it's a a so great score. Most of all: A COMPLETE MATRIX , you did the second and the third , why not the First ? Also a dream : a Complete John Carter of Mars ? or Perhaps from Intrada/Disney. JC would be Intrada most likely Matrix -- Varese Kingdom...it was cost prohibitive MV Karol

crocodile 4839
It's quite simple really. The re-use fees that annoys as so have to do with AFM (American Federation of Musicians). "American" being the key word here. That's why so many studios record abroad. I think musicians in London get more per session but they get paid only once. Bellosh 710
is there missing music from this? I haven't listened to the score in a long time, but i remember the directors cut of the movie made it slightly redeemable for a hollywood take on the crusades.

Same as with pretty much every single John Powell score. It's just the way it is. In any case Kingdom of Heaven is still probably the finest score to a historical epic in the 21st century. The mix of orchestra, ethic colour and vocals is just exquisitely done. It's both modern enough for contemporary audience and traditional enough for us old farts. Way ahead of the competition. And there's tons of unreleased material to justify a release. Which makes it even more tragic that we might never see it. 24 minutes ago, Arpy said: A complete John Carter? Popular Post Jay 17629
Quote We live in miraculous times when it comes to the availability of motion picture scores, those both long-unavailable (or in some cases, previously unavailable in any way) and historically neglected with only partial releases. Composers whose work seldom saw standalone releases now have their entire output available, often in definitive presentations, no less, regularly sourced from original 2-inch music masters, vault elements that in some cases hadn’t been touched in decades and were in need of significant restoration work. At the forefront of these incredible endeavors is La-La Land Records. In recent years, this label and their team of producers-cum-sonic-archeologists have attained access to archives that until recently were inaccessible to anyone but their respective studio owners. They’ve restored and released definitive and often expanded presentations of key genre scores from across the decades, from such composers as Ennio Morricone, Bernard Herrmann, Franz Waxman, Elmer Bernstein, Danny Elfman, Hideakira Sakurai, David Shire, Leonard Rosenman, Dimitri Tiomkin, Basil Poledouris, Jerry Goldsmith, John Carpenter and John Williams, among many others. Join us for a talk with some of La-La Land’s key team of holy grail rescuers to discuss the agonies and ecstasies of soundtrack preservation work. According to FSM, they mention some titles that will be releasing in September in the video Chewy, Corellian2019, TSMefford and 1 other

The last title LLL released that was licensed from Sony Music was The Thin Red Line 4CD, released a few days after that MV post, but announced before, so I assume that means it is not one of the two mentioned. Their Karate Kid reissue from 4 months ago involved Sony Pictures of course, but had nothing to do with Sony Music 5 months later, same story, still no Sony Music titles Don't forget, on April 1st of this year MV posted that LLL was back in with Sony Music anyway.
