I ordered on November 29, 2016 and it shipped on December 5th, 2016.  But in my memory that was because it took them forever to get those initial orders shipped out.

 

To be honest, I can't remember a single time when they shipped right away, on the first day. It's always a few days later, sometimes a week later.

One thing I should point out is that this set features music you've NEVER heard before.  For all three scores!   Even if you're intimately familiar with the albums and the music in the films

Hey, I think what he's been doing in the TV scene has been great, he's allowed a bunch of his additional composers to basically have their own shows to write music for. I think that's pretty cool!

I have no clue if I had anything to do with that, but whenever he was looking to release the first season of Arrow's score, I recommended to him La La Land, and ever since then they've all been released by them.

This is absolutely and utterly false, and a completely ridiculous claim.

The 5,000 copies all are for sale to customers.

 

They also get a quantity of promotional copies (the UPC is punched out at the plant) that they can use to give away.  Copies will be given to the people who worked on it, JW's people, people at WB, people at Gorfain Schwartz, etc etc.  But none of that takes away from the 5,000 copies sold.


I believe they also get a certain amount of overflow copies that aren't punched that they can use to replace ones lost or damaged in the mail, etc, but I'm not 100% positive on that.

It's fine to misremember things, but you cannot go around stating that a label broke very specific contracts with large corporations as a fact like you did.  Be more careful in the future.

 

You are probably thinking of Lukas Kendall and FSM, who absolutely did this, and later admitted to it

 

La-La Land has never done this.
