I've been listening to the three scores from the Back To The Future trilogy a lot this week. Not much I can say that hasn't already been said. In addition to the action and excitement I had forgotten just how much heart those scores have. It is pure movie magic. It's Been Educational / The Clocktower is one of the best score tracks ever.

What would unlock a post-2005 score for an expansion in the future? Would it involve the negotiation of a lower re-use fee for that specific score?

I thought it was a very nice interview and JW seemed to enjoy the discussion a lot. His voice has aged (understandably for a nonagenarian) but his mind is still very sharp and that is definitely the more important of the two.

Trying add family drama to a Bond film is like trying to put a square peg into a round hole. They just weren't meant for each other.

I see that Empire Magazine tweeted about the isolated score :
And I had to chuckle at this reply:
Don't EVEN go there, random internet person. If only it were that simple.

As a summer action film, it is very good although the action direction isn't up to Spielberg's level but then action few films are. Ford's performance is excellent.
As an Indy film, it has the same problem as other franchise legacy sequels were it replaces the hero's satisfying ending from the original films and makes them depressed washed up seniors. That's not really what I want to see in an Indy film. Look at Henry from TLC, he was an elderly senior but still had loads of enthusiasm and zest for life.

I think TROS is a far worse film than TLJ and I don't even like TLJ too much.
I've been very late to the party but I've been catching up on The Clone Wars and Rebels before I watch Ahsoka. Some incredible storytelling in those shows. I keep thinking to myself where was this level of Star Wars writing in the sequel trilogy.

I can't wait to listen to the entire airport / portal / Syracuse section.

I got my second source. An official source.
Nice that they specifically mentioned the isolated score in the post over any other of the special features.

I'm curious how the isolated score will handle the parade scene. Will it include the diegetic parade music or just the actual score. They are very much intertwined in the film's mix but hopefully the track will be just the score.

TROS is boring, at least on album, and just dumps a bunch of the cool material, for new material, and expects us to get on board with it, even though we never spent the time to get to know, like the preivous material.
TFA is 👍
I was initially lukewarm about TROS but the OST supplemented by the FYC is a whole different experience to just the OST.

This definitely takes the sting out of the FYC being the same as the OST.

Is The Digital Bits a reputable source? Collider also has a new article about the blu-ray but doesn't mention the score only track.

About 50 seconds from the end of the concert version of Getting Out The Vote with the rousing full bodied performance of the theme punctuated by low brass hits. Just amazing!! I'm still shocked it wasn't on the third Spielberg / Williams compilation. The concert version totally transforms the OST version, which itself is massive fun.

Wow. Has anyone done a two parter that close together before?
Depending on the country, Soderbergh's Che Parts 1 and 2 were either released on the same day or just about a month apart.

I know The Office (US) is basically bordering on 'basic bitch' territory but that show has way better developed characters than Parks and Rec and actually heartwarming moments not to mention it's basically the template that parks uses. It should be on that list in its place.
I will also die on the hill that The Office (US) is genuinely funnier than the UK version, which has it's moments but is too cold. US version just got too popular for it's own good.
I love The Office (US) but I struggled with Parks and Rec for some reason. I stopped during season 2. I might try to give it another chance.
Good to see The Americans high on that list. I think it suffered a little from being on FX. If it was on HBO or Netflix people would be talking about it a lot more.
I would have included For All Mankind especially for the first two seasons. I definitely think it is better than some other shows on that list.

I would love for JW and the LSO to reschedule their concert at the Royal Albert Hall that he had to pull out of due to illness a few years ago. I'm surprised he didn't make a detour during one of his recent European visits.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - Isolated Score Track

When we found out that the FYC equals the OST, I thought we'd have to live with the OST presentation of the score for years and years. Can't believe we'll have music to supplement the OST so soon now.
