Mr. Breathmask got a reaction from Kasey Kockroach in The John Williams Jurassic Park Collection from La-La Land MUSIC Discussion
I think he meant including Revealing the Plans in track 8 on the OST, while it's actually the second of Williams' compositions to be heard in the movie. The tracklist reads as if Hammond comes up with a plan after Sarah has been rescued.

I love M:I2 more with each viewing. In a so-bad-it's-good kind of way. It's so ridiculously misguided.

Aaaaaahhh... I just had this as an idea for a podcast last week. You beat me to it!

I guess I'll have to look for another composer.

    Will be checking yours out!

That game is awesome. Never played the 4-player variant, though.

Last time we made it well into side A of the Return of the King DVD.

I've been waiting for ages for Universal to release Duel, The Sugarland Express, 1941 and Always on Blu-Ray individually in the Netherlands. Already owning Jaws, Jurassic Park and The Lost World on Blu really put me off buying that big Spielberg box set. I also recently picked up this edition of E.T., which comes with a lovely booklet:

But today, I found out bol.com is selling the box set for a mere €25. That puts the price of the four movies I don't own at a mere €6,25 a piece. Neato!

So this should be arriving tomorrow:

    Yay!

I'll have to catch up on some of the 'Berg's other Blu-ray releases and have myself a marathon one day.

I'm glad Cameron decided against it. It's cheesy as hell, while the piano version works wonderfully.

I did. Sitting through Mars, the Stravinsky comparisons and Korngold in a row got tedious. Then, when they finally got back to Star Wars, the conductor told the audience "the next piece is based on Carmina Burana by Orff."

    Give it a rest already!

Also, because of the suites, there was a lot of repeated material. They basically played the bridge to the end credits three times and March of the Resistance and Scherzo for X-Wings twice. It somehow felt like whoever programmed this didn't want to burden the orchestra with having to rehearse too much new music.

I went to this on Friday. Good playing, and hearing this music in the wonderful Concertgebouw was great.

    But the programme baffles me.

I like Mars and the Korngold piece is nice, but what's the point? Who is this for? Why not use that time to play something like Anakin's Theme  or just about anything from Return of the Jedi. The whole "Star Wars is just Holst/Wagner/Stravinsky/Korngold/Orff" act got old very quickly. It was unnecessary, borderline insulting to the composer and a waste of valuable playtime.

I had a good time during the pieces from Star Wars (the whole Jedi Steps and Finale medley was great!), but I was left rather annoyed by the rest of the programme.

I have yet to receive this set, but hearing about its contents, I'm fairly certain this will be the next Remixed & Restored project.

After I finish the one I'm currently working on.

Shallow, poorly told and devoid of human emotion. So about what you'd expect from a Zack Snyder film. I should have known better. Avoid.

That's not the actual cover. I always use temp covers when I write. Not sure why. It helps with mood, I guess.

And yes, the book follows the complete Extended Scores ... and in the order and structure of the original fully orchestrated compositions (meaning the first fully realized draft before filmmaker conformations).
