A new take on The Patriot ...The Patriot.png

I did something similar last night, I had different font for the text. I used the cover for Saving Private Ryan for inspiration.

Very nice. The font looks suitably Jim Titusey :) although I guess the Disney connection means this will never come from LLL.

Probably not. Intrada might get lucky though, they managed to release a couple expanded Disney titles. We'll just have to wait and see...

I worked these up at the beginning of the year, in order to finish out the series started by La-la Land Records. "Order of the Phoenix" turned out to be my favorite.  Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Expanded OSTHarry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - OSTHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - OSTHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Exp. I really wish they would do this!

I have several promos in my collection that do not have a cover at all. Kinda frustrating. For example, I have to slap together something like this in 1 minute to have something displayed in my iTunes, instead of an ugly, grey question mark. If anyone is keen to take on a cover for Ira Newborn's promo THE IRA NEWBORN STORY, that would be cool. But not expecting anything. :)

for those Eric Stern recordings.

Is this the most complete recording of A Streetcar named Desire?

edit: Never mind. I found it in discogs.com, and I see it isn't.

I took up your challenge of making covers for those Eric Stern recordings. Here's the first:A Streetcar Named Desire.png

Excellent! Thanks very much. This first one looks terrific 👍

Has anyone done a cover for the London re-recording of Holdridge's Splash, recently issued on CD-R on demand and digital by Dragons Domain?

The third official poster is brutal, very effective.

These are great, a huge improvement on the OST cover!

I really hope we don't get a straight reissue of the OST cover for the eventual Intrada release... :/ I suspect Gibson's contract stipulates his name and likeness must be featured prominently on any albums though.

Yeah, that cover's pretty bad and messy. These are a lot more... iconic? Definitely far better!

Why are a lot of those covers so lazy? Badly put together images, slapped on text with no dimension, often not even legible as it went across multiple colours...

It's just an atrocious film poster unfortunately. This is before the days where Photoshop was as accessible:

bbfc.co.uk

Just comparing the two, clearly Gibson's name needs to be X% as large as the film's title, contractually.

Hmm, wonder if other posters/score covers can support that.

He was too busy writing Rogue One.

Well this cover breaks new ground by having Gibson look slightly to the left!
