I'd much rather have Enya than AaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

AAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAA All right Hogwarts!

(Yes, that line goes over the page limit. That's ok. It's suggestive of how the sound of it on the CD goes over my brain's limit.)

Isn't there any word on the music of DH part 2 yet?

By now, Desplat must have something on his mind or preparing himself. I can't imagine the deadline being very far away.

Conrad Pope is in London where the recording sessions will take place. So i asume they will record in one or two weeks.

Abbey Road or Air Lyndhurst?

The Harry Potter movies usually have one test-screening with a temp track first, about 3-4 months prior to release. Then after they make their last minute editing changes based on that screening, they're ready to record a couple of weeks later. There hasn't been a test-screening for this one yet, but it's only a matter of time.

I wonder when we will hear some kind of word from Mr. Desplat about the final film's score? He hasn't really said anything about doing it.

Why say something about a score that has nothing to say in itself?

I wonder is this means that John Williams has been secretly working on this movie.

Well here is a confirmation of sorts that comes from a rather unexpected source: Variety magazine (Manager Robert Urband obituary)

There Desplat is quoted: Urband "was the lord of my music world," said the four-time Oscar-nominated Desplat in a statement from London, where he is working on the latest "Harry Potter" score.

Why is it interesting?

Does it matter who releases a mediocre score?

:shakehead: :shakehead:

I assume Sony Classical releases other things besides John Williams music.
