They chose.... wisely!! Hired the best for this concert!! ME.  Can't wait.

I'm enjoying the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's ROTJ concert this evening. Jabba's Baroque Recital wasn't performed live during the film, but they had two people playing it outside the concert hall be

LSO will perform the original SW in November!   Plus 5 more non-LSO (I assume) performances in Mancs, Brum, Liverpool ( @Quintus), Leeds and Cardiff after that.   Karol

SW:TLJ in America, baby:

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, March 19-21, 2021

https://www.njsymphony.org/events/detail/star-wars-the-last-jedi-in-concert

Those of you who have attended any of the performances of SW:ROTJ this weekend by the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, can now buy single tickets purchases, for March 2021's concert of SW:TLJ.  You have to show proof of purchase for the ROTJ and TFA tickets.

You can also get 20% off the ticket purchases for both SW:TFA and SW:TFA by the NJSO.  Use the promo code ‘JEDI.’

I found this out by their promotion being displayed on the theatre screen at the auditorium where the orchestra performs.

During this time of year in the USA, single ticket purchases for a concert season that begins in September usually do not go on sale until the summer.  If you want to buy a seat for your choice show, now, you would have to buy a minimum of four different shows.  That is called buying a ‘Subscription.’

I already really have my choice seat.

@PoggoAOTS Any update on the MSO finding room in their schedule for The Last Jedi?

And, looking way ahead, any chance of the MSO being the first orchestra to book Rise of Skywalker once it's available? Nicholas Buc got to conduct the world premiere of TLJ in Japan; it would be amazing to see him conduct the world premiere of TROS with the MSO in Melbourne! :lovethis:

Bit annoying that they're already selling tickets. I was planning on going on one of the original dates. I'll go to one of these provided that it's possible (one and a half years *should* be enough to get the pandemic under control, but who knows), and that tickets are still readily available when it's clear that it is (not until mid summer-ish at the earliest, I'd expect).

Both March 3rd and 4th shows.  I checked the orchestra's website last week and it said that the Wednesday show was sold-out, but the Thursday show had seats available.  Why couldn't the orchestra cancel a month ago instead of one week before the show.

Just saw the MSO are restarting live performances here in Melbourne. Fingers crossed they can finally schedule The Last Jedi.

A few Star Wars LTP concerts would provide some much-needed financial support to orchestras who have struggled during the pandemic.

As actual physical tickets aren't much of a thing these days, this is what my nieces and nephew will be getting for Christmas from their best uncle.

I've temped up TESB and ROTJ as well in anticipation.

It is nice to see some concerts are beginning to be rescheduled. The above performance wasn't finally outright cancelled until November with still no new date in sight.

The TSO has just announced their 2021/22 schedule and SW:TLJ is not on it, as it was last scheduled for March 2022.
