Yub-nub havin' or no sale.

Yub-nub is a sin against humanity. Otherwise, sure. (Coming from a serial Lucas apologist who doesn’t mind the changes)

Wow, this one's so much better.

Thinking the same thing haha.

It's more a problem of the elements used:

1: endor doesn't blend as well with the Imperial grey/blue aesthetic

2: ROTJ Vader, then Luke, THEN a tiny Emperor All in a straight line.

The ESB one is consistent, has a clear defined style, striking base colours and highlights, all matte, it's not overcrowded. The RotJ one has a bit too much going on, the matte imperial clashes with the glossy Vader and Luke with an inexplicable red sidelight and with the natural Endor, the assembly is not the best (outline around Luke to make him not blend into Vader), etc

Still a wholly different league than Intrada and Varese's covers.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but Jedi Rocks/Victory Celebration > Lapti Nek/Yub Nub

I tend to feel the same.

Swapping Anakins continues to be a travesty.

It's not a question of which is better.

If there's going to be a screening for the 40th anniversary of ROTJ's cinematic release, they should be screening ROTJ's cinematic release.

Don't be so reasonable.

Matt Ferguson's artwork matches his poster for the 40th Anniversary Empire release, which I like quite a bit.

Did he do one for ANH 40th as well?

I could understand the rationale for it. HOWEVER: the way it was executed was just shoddy. Take test footage of Hayden Christensen and pop it on Sebastian Shaw's body. If Lucas wanted to do it, he should have filmed Anakin anew like he did for the Emperor in ESB.

Luke does too from the same source. Perhaps the artist wanted some lighting that reflects the prominent red from the royal guards and typeset in the logo.
