Popular Post jocores 96
It's a prestigious spanish price named after the future queen of the country. Quote 42 nominations encompassing 21 different nationalities were in the running for this Award, the second of eight international awards that are bestowed each year by the Princess of Asturias Foundation, which are now in their 40th edition As stated in the Statutes of the Foundation, the Princess of Asturias Awards are aimed at rewarding “the scientific, technical, cultural, social and humanitarian work carried out at an international level by individuals, institutions or groups of individuals or institutions”. In keeping with these principles, the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts shall be aimed at recognizing “the work of fostering and advancing the art of film-making, theatre, dance, music, photography, painting, sculpture, architecture or any other form of artistic expression”. https://www.fpa.es/en/ eitam, Jurassic Shark, Muad'Dib and 4 others 5

Popular Post eitam 364
The statement by Morricone has class and grace as well, and is a little more personal: Quote “I have chosen to write music as a form of communication. In fact, music without anybody listening to it does not make any sense. I have striven my whole life to improve, never to stand still, never to take a seat and look back on everything I have done. I am 92 years old and I see that the Spanish Royal Family and the Princess of Asturias Foundation wish to distinguish me with this prestigious Award. Today is a day for reflection, for thinking about the path already trodden, for humbly and gratefully feeling that, perhaps in the course of my work, I have been able to reach people and share with them the unique experience that is music. That is what the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts means to me. John Williams and I have travelled parallel paths in our careers, sharing the same love and commitment to music and to music in film. Writing music also means experiencing profound solitude and concentration. I feel that John and I share the same ethic and constant dedication that makes us not only colleagues, but also brothers. Finally, I wish to dedicate this award to my wife Maria, who has always been at my side. Without her, I would not have had the tranquillity to devote myself to music on this long journey that I have been on. I wish to express my gratitude once more to the Royal Family. I will be happy and honoured to meet them on 16th October. https://www.fpa.es/en/princess-of-asturias-awards/laureates/2020-ennio-morricone-and-john-williams.html?texto=declaracion&especifica=0 "solitude", work "ethic", "constant dedication" are indeed also words that we have seen applied to Williams. jocores 96
The speech of the people who have been awarded are usually great, because they must focus on a theme and ellaborate on that. It would great to be able to listen to Williams' and Morricone's speeches. Here, for example, is Martin Scorsese's speech, who was awarded two years ago. https://www.fpa.es/multimedia-en/videos/speech-by-martin-scorsese-at-the-2018-ceremony.html?idCategoria=3&idSubcategoria=
