Still nothing? Rewatching parts of the film, there's some lovely unreleased music in various places. But comparing with the tracklist, I'm not sure the FYC really covers much except restored microedits. Certainly no meaty standalone cues that I can find.

 

Either way, the score could benefit from a C&C expansion. Shame it falls under the new AFM rules

The best unreleased music you can hear in the film plays from timestamp 0:17:25 - 0:21:03, and is clearly what's in the FYC track "I Will Run Away / Bedtime Story".  If that music was on the OST album, we'd have a near perfect one (the actual music written for netting the giants would be the other most important addition)

 

And yea, it seems that barely any copies of this FYC were pressed... or at least, very little were distributed, based on the fact that they've only shown up on ebay what, once? twice?  

 

Our best case scenario is that a lot were pressed, but then they gave up on sending them out.... and there's a ton sitting in box somewhere that will someday show up and flood ebay lol

While randomly checking the recent additions to the CUETools database for John Williams CDs, I've found this:

It seems like the BFG FYC CD was recently ripped by somebody (along with the FYCs for Tintin and Book Thief, see here).

it doesn't seem to have ever been archive.org'd, but that's definitely not the case. I saw the timestamps on that page shortly after Chewy posted them here.

Just don't bid now to make the price go up too fast . Wait until the final moments of the auction. One thing I learned on ebay is some  people have infinite money to match anything we'll put. Especially if it's an asshole that only wants it as trade bait for rare sessions

I seriously doubt that is the reason the bidding has gone up.  Like @A. A. Ron said above, people often have push notifications for eBay / marketplace / CL.  Unless you have evidence I’d say it’s bad form to place the blame on people here on the board.

The link was also bound to get shared in private conversations, so you would've ended up with multiple groups making separate plans to place large bids. At least being public means most people will now withhold from placing bids, instead of assuming they're the only ones who know about it.

 

If nobody else knew you were trying to bid on it @rpvee, there's every chance you'd have 20-30 people all trying to place large bids in the final minutes.
