phbart 609
With the recent "The Mummy" 2CD, there have been lots of cool Jerry Goldsmith releases this year, and only one cool JW release for the books. You think they misspelled JW for JG when they made the statement? That_Bloke
Yavar Moradi 2,609
They were making the statement about releases from their *own* label LLL, not others. So far LLL has only put out the western reissue/remaster twofer of Rio Conchos and 100 Rifles. Not one for the books there, surely. Presumably LLL is saving their big Williams releases for closer to Christmastime? Yavar

Popular Post phbart 609
It was meant to be a joke. You know, as in J-O-K-E. Or a joeke, jowke... whatever. I was trying to say that Goldsmith is a few steps ahead of JW. He's been known to do that every now and then, and he's dead for quite a while now. 14 years this month, right? No. There are films that come out at the end or beginning of the year that end up being the 'film of the year'. Whatever they have planned to release this year must be something that will define 2018.

Arpy 4,145
If the success and reception of E.T. and Jurassic Park is anything to go by , I expect something like HP 1-3 would be more than enough, it might perform better than the aforementioned titles. Particularly now that the Harry Potter / Fantastic Beasts hype is returning. Chewy

Popular Post crumbs 14,345
25th Anniversary of Schindler's List... an LLL release to come with profits going to a charity... just saying. This anniversary thing seems to be the new trend with Matessino/Williams projects. ET 35th, CE3K 40th, SPR 20th... A bit surprised Amistad's 20th was missed last year but maybe it's being held up for some reason. That was a Dreamworks production (as was SPR alongside Paramount, which was just announced) so I can't see any major roadblocks unless Spielberg or Williams weren't interested in expanding it? My guess is SL will be the only other Spielberg/Williams expansion this year (plus maybe Amistad) and there will be another non-Spielberg release too, hopefully the Potter trilogy. SW/IJ ain't coming anytime soon, much less through LLL. Jay, Jurassic Shark, bollemanneke and 1 other
